A resident of Geneva, Illinois, Tina Barber is a professional harpist with over thirty years of experience. After receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Tina moved to the Chicago area and set up shop. Tina began her harp lessons at age nine with South Dakota Symphony harpist, Anna Vorhes and continued her studies under Dr. Ann Yeung, Beatriz Martin-Ruiz and Alice Speero Keene while attending the University of Illinois. Throughout her years of playing, Tina has had the opportunity to perform in a variety of musical settings including symphony orchestras, pit orchestras, new music ensembles as well as solo and small group performances. The name of her business, East Side Harp, is drawn from the family's home base on the east side of Geneva.

Tina believes the harp is an exquisite instrument that can be used in any number of settings for a variety of events. She has provided harp music for all occasions, whether a small holiday party for less than a dozen guests or an extravagant brunch for over two-thousand.
